Derby Delight for city of bristol ladies

It was a weekend to remember for the City of Bristol Ladies B&D volleyball team, who pulled off a nail-biting win against Bristol VC Ladies 4. The match had everything — tension, teamwork, and a serious dose of determination.

After dropping the first set 15–27, the City girls roared back to life, taking the second 28–26. With both teams refusing to back down, the decider turned into a real battle of grit. The City squad showed incredible resilience, clawing their way from 11–7 down to seal the deal 15–13 — what a finish!

Sunday brought mixed results for the club overall. The men’s squad couldn’t quite overcome Bristol VC Juniors, falling 3–0 despite a solid effort, while the South West Ladies team fought hard through a double-header. After a tough 3–0 loss to Plymouth Ladies, they bounced back in style, edging out Fireball in a tense five-setter (3–2).

All in all, it was a weekend packed with passion, perseverance, and plenty of volleyball drama — with the City of Bristol Ladies proving once again that their fighting spirit can turn any match around. 💪🔥
